Good Morning Margaret
Thank you very much Margaret for your nice card, and for making contact with us here.
I am bewildered and have sometimes problem realising how I could end up in this situation, and indeed it is a long story. I will therefore attempt to respond in detail over a set of separate letters, this is as not to confuse the situation, and the many different problems we have been through. I have a tendency to babbling on a bit too much - and that can confuse anyone.
It is wonderful to finally having a bit of contact and responds from Georges family and friends, so thank you again for that Margaret. After many requests on my part over the past year, Ashley finally paid us a surprise visit last Thursday the 25th. It was great to see him here, and it certainly made George “shine up” with excitement.
So, in an attempt to keep this short and simple, I would just give you a small presentation of Connie and myself, briefly what we are doing here - and our passion for “proper health”. Passion about teaching, or maybe preaching, good natural health, the absolute conviction that more than 90% of our ailments are lifestyle based - and as such can be prevented. I will not go as far as saying that they can be cured once the damage is done, but there are an enormous room for improvements by learning from our mistakes and improve what we can.
As our conviction in this direction have been growing over the years, our trust in doctors, and more so the overall “sickness industry”, have diminished - if not completely vanished. And then we have the, so called, “food industry” an industry that feeds us crap and outright toxins (HFCS, MSG, Sugar, GME-Foods, Gluten, Chemical Flavours and PBA to mention just a few.) that makes us sick – forcing us to give our money to the sickness industry. - What a Scam!
But let’s move on;
We have for many years had our home open for guests and “boarders”, starting with hosting international students while our own daughter was in high school. We finally stopped our “hosting parent project”, as it was too much work servicing with food and more, proceeding to hosting adult independent people that could look after themselves. -We thought anyway.
We soon found out that many people, if not the most, seeking this type of accommodation do have various problems with Life, Health, Relationships, Addictions and on and on. With this experience it wasn’t really that much of a surprise to have George showing up on our doorstep, it was a great surprise however when we learn that he at several occasions had been running away from provided care.
It is a very small business Margaret, two or three guests only, in this very large six bedrooms / three bathroom home.
And then we have “Connies health”: www.connieshealth.com
My partner Connie is a qualified massage therapist, and has also some education in “meditation assistance” and “psychologic consultation”. As mentioned we are both quite passionate about this health promotion, this is fortunate because one cannot make money by telling people to go home and put some carrots and apples through a juicing machine. On the contrary, this is continuously costing us money in our own education materials, and also distribution and communication of our findings. (I just spent $250.00 for education material to learn and to be better equipped to assisting George, this education is provided by a Dr Peter Breggin, and I will include a sample DVD with some short presentation by Dr Breggin.)
An important note Margaret;
We are not doctors, and we don’t pretend to be doctors, we do not alter anyone’s medication, and certainly don’t remove any medication. What we do might be questioning doctor’s decisions, investigating benefits versus sometimes devastating side-effects of drugs - and maybe even suggesting alternative solutions.
One such questioning is George’s Clopixol medication;
You can find countless references and recommendations online stating that Clopixol is for short-term use only - as you are aware that “short term” for George has expanded into 10 or 12 years. We have therefore been questioning the current GP, Dr Webby Chen and a psychiatrist we were referred to about this situation.
The conclusion so far is that they have changed George’s injections to a three week frequency rather than previously fortnightly, the result is very good George showing improvements in communication, in energy levels and general outlook. And he has soon dropped 15 kg in weight!
The point again Margaret, it is George’s Doctor, Psychiatrist and Diabetes experts that make decisions, and implement changes - if any - in George medication.
But I better stop here – will discuss the individual health issues in later letters.
I will also take the opportunity to discuss the finances and the occasional financial help George are getting from Family and Friends.
